The Journey That Informs My Practice
The beginning
My earliest childhood memories are of deep communion, awareness, and connection with the vibrant whisperings of an animate and flowing world of earth and spirit filled with life – people, plants, animals, rocks, water, clouds, stars, and spirit all equally alive. What society “sold” me as “reality” was in disquieting contradiction to the vividness and richness of my early experiences.
A seeker
My journey is one of a seeker. I studied liberal arts at Wesleyan University and jazz improvisation at New England Conservatory. My self-work included generous doses of therapy, Bioenergetics, Core Energetics, The Pathwork, and other forms of spiritual healing work. I have dedicated the better part of three decades to men’s soul-work participating, assisting, and leading men’s groups and retreats. Yoga and meditation have been long-term foundational life practices. As a lifelong learner, my explorations have tendrilled numerous paths some of which include certification as a certified yoga teacher, certification as a master Soulful Facilitator, and training in trauma-informed yoga, Resistance Flexibility Technology, and Reiki.
Nondual healing
The work that has become central to my healing and soul work practice is the Nondual Kabbalistic Healing and Nondual Shamanism teachings of Jason Shulman, whom i met in the late eighties as a healing client and later became a student.
BreakBread World & Embodied Conversation
I am also co-founder of BreakBread World and co-developer of Embodied Conversation™, processes, and practices that focus on the power of conversation to heal our social fabric and reweave our common humanity.
It is through these bodies of work and a lifetime of seeking that i share my gifts as a healing presence dedicated to helping other seekers on their journeys of healing and awakening.
